EPYLON LAUNCHES ONLINE SEALED BID SOLUTION FOR THE EDUCATION COMMUNITY

Walnut Creek, Calif.-April 16, 2004- Epylon Corporation, a leading provider of eProcurement software and services for education and government institutions, today announced the launch of its easy-to-use sealed bid purchasing module, eBid, for the education community.

Epylon's eBid solution automates the manual, time consuming and inefficient process of conducting sealed bids. As a result, school officials responsible for procurement can use Epylon's eBid solution to issue sealed bids online, accept online responses from suppliers, tabulate results to compare prices, and publish awarded items to requisitioners throughout their organization. Requisitioners can immediately use these bid items with Epylon's other eProcurement features such as eRequisition and online purchase orders. Designed in collaboration with K12 administrators, eBid provides a clear and distinct audit trail of all bidding activities and subsequent purchases.
